I’m thrilled to share some news: John Israel (aka “Mr. Thank You”) and I have launched a new podcast, Speak and Inspire Action, debuting today!
In each episode, John and I will dig into the craft, the business, and the theory of thought leadership and keynote speaking — the questions we’re asked most often, the ones we wish someone had answered for us, and the ones we’re still wrestling with ourselves.
I’ve spent years in this business; John’s a relative newcomer whose origin story is one of the best I know — he handwrote 5 thank-you notes a day, every day, for a year (nearly 2,000 notes), and that project led him to a TEDx talk and a full-time speaking career. That mix — seasoned veteran and sharp-eyed newbie — is exactly the dynamic we want the show to have. Expect real talk, good stories, and a few secrets we probably shouldn’t be giving away for free.
We’ll kick things off with a handful of episodes just between the two of us, then start bringing in guests: top speakers, thought leaders, and speaker bureau leaders who can offer a look inside the business from every angle.
If you’re an executive who’s discovered you love speaking and are wondering what a second career on stage could look like — or if you’re already speaking and want to sharpen your craft — this show is for you.
Episode 1: Welcome to Speak and Inspire Action
“The only reason to give a speech is to change the world.”
Dr. Nick Morgan and John Israel have a clear mission: to help speakers, executives, and aspiring thought leaders become more effective communicators who actually move people to action. We will share why speaking is not just about sounding polished or inspiring feelings, but about changing minds, building business, and creating real outcomes.
As you embark on your journey in public speaking or refine your existing skills, remember that every speech is an opportunity to inspire and enact change. Whether you’re aiming to captivate an audience or drive a message home at your next meeting, this podcast is here to guide you.
For a deeper dive into this conversation and more insights, listen to the full episode. Your journey to becoming a powerful communicator begins now!
